1. Introduction

Welcome to HomeServicesFinder ("we", "our", "us"). These Terms of Service govern your use of our website and services. By accessing or using HomeServicesFinder, whether as a householder ("Customer") seeking services or as a tradesperson ("Professional") offering services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Our Role

HomeServicesFinder operates as an introductory platform. We facilitate connections between Customers and Professionals. We do not employ the Professionals, nor do we provide the home services directly. Any contract for services is formed strictly between the Customer and the Professional. We are not liable for the quality, safety, or legality of the services provided.

3. For Customers (Householders)

  • Our service is entirely free for Customers to use.
  • You agree to provide accurate information when posting a job request.
  • While we conduct initial verification checks (such as identity and insurance verification) to issue "Safe-Match" badges, you acknowledge that it is your responsibility to verify the credentials, references, and insurance of any Professional before entering into a contract.
  • We do not guarantee that you will receive quotes or that you will find a suitable Professional for your needs.

4. For Professionals (Tradespeople)

  • You must provide accurate, up-to-date business details, including valid Public Liability Insurance if you wish to hold a "Safe-Match" verified badge.
  • You are responsible for paying for leads using our credit system. Credits are non-refundable except under our strict "No-Waste" refund policy (e.g., if a lead's contact details are proven to be entirely invalid within 24 hours of purchase).
  • You agree to conduct your business professionally and in accordance with all applicable UK laws, health and safety regulations, and trading standards.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you receive consistently poor reviews, breach these Terms, or engage in fraudulent activity.

5. Reviews and User Content

Customers may leave reviews for Professionals. These reviews must be honest, factual, and based on genuine interactions. We reserve the right to remove reviews that contain offensive language, defamatory statements, or spam. Professionals may not incentivize fake reviews.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, HomeServicesFinder shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability in respect of any claim arising out of these Terms shall be limited to the total fees paid by you (if any) to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

7. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
